Sew Organized

When my Nana (yes, at my Grandmothers's request I still refer to her as 'Nana' at 27) was moved into a Nursing home last year, I was the one to inherit her VERY unorganized sewing supplies.

Despite the daunting task of sorting through the seemingly endless box of tangled oddments and thread, I felt that it was important to preserve the medley of sewing materials left to me...afterall, it was the one hobby we both have in common.                                          

 

 I am a visual person and chose to use clear glass spice jars (hooray for the Dollar Store) to sort the thread by color family: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, and so on...
